EIKOSIS – FETE DES LUMIERES DE LYON

    / Light Festival

    2022 - LYON

The Sun decided to create the lion to frighten the Moon, in the image of Apollo, god of the stars and Light, wishing to intimidate his sister Artemis, goddess associated with the Moon. She answered him mischievously and mocked him by creating the cats, who since then have lived alongside humans during the day and come together at nightfall, in the moonlight, to find their mother.

“The Eikosis” is a family of twenty cats who travel from city to city, sucking in sunlight by day and returning it at night, paying homage to their mother the Moon. They interact with their adopted city and immerse themselves in its character. Each cat is unique. All are part of the Eikosis family.
